On September 25, 2015, the United Nations General Assembly approved the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a comprehensive, multidimensional, and global action plan aimed at sustainable global development.
The 2030 Agenda establishes a system of 17 sustainable development goals with the purpose of addressing major global challenges, from fighting against poverty and climate change to promoting education, health, gender equality, peace, and sustainable cities. Each SDG includes different targets (169 in total) whhich contribute to achieving the goal.
